Seidougha Eyimiegha, also known as Mr Danfo (b. 1991, Nigeria), is a visual artist living and working in Lagos. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in painting at Delta State University.
Drawing influences from his childhood, Mr Danfo engages local art forms, contemporary designs, and popular culture. He has mostly created works that reflect his everyday interaction with the city of Lagos and its evolving urban culture.
He has exhibited in several institutions and galleries, including Ressources Urbaines, Geneva, Switzerland (2024), Rele Art Gallery, Lagos, Nigeria (2023), and Alliance Française de Lagos, Nigeria (2022). He also exhibited at the Johannesburg Fair with Bubblegum Gallery in South Africa (2022), the National Museum, Lagos, Nigeria (2021), Museo De Ciudad De Guadalupe, Mexico (2021), and Art Twenty-One, Lagos, Nigeria (2020). He received the Pro Helvetia Grant (2024) and had a residency at the Embassy of Foreign Artists, Geneva. Mr. Danfo’s works are in several publications and private collections around the world.
